Winter 2014 was colder than usual for our part of Texas.
Snow! Rare in our part of Texas.
Ice turned the woods into a crystal forest.
In June, I celebrated the release of The Cat Lady’s Secret. In fact, by June, I’d already released the new edition of Give the Lady a Ride and Writing in Obedience. The Simulacrum would soon follow.
Loved getting this at my door!
Some of the prizes for the Cat in a Coffee Cup giveaway. Great party on Facebook!
Summer brought opportunities for our traveling, seasonal shop, The Canopy Bookstore. Good sales at both the Blueberry Festival in Nacogdoches, and the Polish Festival in Bremond. I’ll be looking for more opportunities in 2015.
My table at the Blueberry Festival.
This year, The Canopy Bookstore hosted two other authors, Patty Wiseman and Eddie Hancock. Made the festival fun!
Of course, our favorite festival is the one in Bremond–the Polish Festival. Since we’ll be moving there when we retire, we really enjoy getting to know the people.

The Polish dancers presented a lively and colorful show.

Along with my traveling bookstore, I had several speaking engagements (but way too few pictures!). I love public speaking. It’s fun getting to meet everyone.
This was the ad used for the Writers on the Storm speech in June.
Honored to share the stage with Edie Melson, Christa Allan, and Elizabeth Ludwig at the Bridge to Publication Conference in Lake Charles, LA
September brought the ACFW Conference in St. Louis, Missouri. I love getting together with all my writing friends at the conference, but I also love hanging out in a new city with MSB.
Never could get the ribbons on straight.

Now, for some of my favorite events of the year!
“Slider,” my first short story since I was 16, won first place and grand prize at the East Texas Baptist University Writer’s Conference. Wow.
Celebrated 23 years of marriage with this wonderful man. God did me good when He gave me MSB!
Sitting with my great grands–Emma on the right and Chloe in my arms. I am so in love!!!
Love this of MSB and Punkin Bun!
The clan at Christmas. Almost everyone!
Thanks for putting up with my 2014 memories. Can’t wait to see what 2015 brings!

It was fun going through all the pics. There are some I wish I had, but they’re on other people’s cameras. 😛

There’s a new (June 2014) version of Writing in Obedience? Where can I find this gem? I bought my Kindle version in April, but I’ll get the new edition if there’s significant changes.

No, so far as I know, there’s only one Writing in Obedience. I think it came out in February last year. That one and Give the Lady a Ride both came out before The Cat Lady’s Secret, and The Simulacrum came out in . . . August? Heavens, now I don’t remember!
