What do you think of my new cover? Lynnette Bonner at Indie Cover Design created this beauty for me, and for an incredibly reasonable price, considering the work involved, did the bulk of what was required to get this baby back on the market.
Yes, I’m a techno-idiot and couldn’t have figured out how to do this without her. In fact, it was worth it to me not to have to figure it out. Transferring a manuscript from one program to another and then another causes headaches, and I’ve already had enough headaches this week to meet my quota for the year.
If you go looking on Amazon for my book with its new cover, you won’t find it there yet, but if everything works out right, both the print and Kindle versions will be available by the end of the weekend.
Keep an eye on my blog. When the Kindle version goes live, it’ll also go for only 99c in celebration of its rerelease!

Oh Linda, I love the new cover! Great decision there, girl! So tickled for you!

Really like the new cover – causes me to wonder what she’s considering.

She’s considering not just the bull rider, but the bull ride. It was fun putting her on the back of one! 😀

Congratulations! I liked the first cover, but this one is awesome!

The first will always be a sentimental favorite. A friend did the artwork–by hand. But I love this, and it’ll be another sentimental favorite because it was designed by another friend!

Looks FABULOUS, Linda. Nice job, Lynette! Linda, I’m very curious to follow your foray into Indy publishing. Can’t wait to hear how it goes. I have an older book now out of print, too, that I would love to readdress (meaning /much/ re-editing) and do something like this with.

Naomi–I hired Lynnette. I’m serious. I did not want to go through this without someone holding my hand. She’s been with me step by step, all the way, she did the hard stuff and answered my questions about the easy stuff. CreateSpace isn’t that difficult to maneuver, but I’m sure glad I have a guide!

That’s terrific. I couldn’t imagine doing it alone if I tried. I hope the sales go swimmingly for you!

That’s a great cover. Lynn did a wonderful job. I’m proud of you for going the self publishing route. Yes, there is a learning curve, but you’ll see the rewards of building a fan base, seeing your baby in print forever, and publishing what you want, far outweigh any negatives.

Thanks, Lisa. I think self-publishing is a go I’d alternative for this book. It’s done all it can do as a traditional book–isn’t eligible for any more awards–so putting it out myself is a good move. Thanks for helping me make up my mind about it!

That is an awesome cover! Lynnette is so very talented! So, combining to two amazing talents, and you end up with an amazing book! Good work, both of you! (And I get to call both of you my friends, now how lucky is that?!)
