I wanted to use “It was a dark and stormy night.” in the book I’m currently working on. Tongue in cheek, but still my editor/writing coach said no. Hahaha. Personally, I don’t get what’s so bad about it. It always makes me want to know more about the storm and the night.
I also love the Ambiguity one – but they’re all good this week! 🙂
Stephen King gets quoted so often, a real enjoyable author. His hints about writing make you feel as if writing is effortless, but of course it’s not, he just makes it appear so.
