Squeee!!!

PUNCTUATIONGuesswhatguesswhatguesswhat? No, you’ll never guess–and if you do, it’s because you already know.

Can’t guess?

I got a contract for The Cat Lady’s Secret!!!

I just signed on with Pelican Book Group, and will be published through their Harbourlight imprint–and that’s all I know right now. But I can’t wait to dig in and get to work with them. They’ve produced several award-winning novels, and I’m hoping mine will be one of them.

My agent has a saying along the lines of God not letting a book get published until the writer is ready. Sometimes the writer has to get right with Him; sometimes she has to reevaluate her work to be sure it’s what He wanted her to write; sometimes, like with me, He just knows when an author isn’t physically capable of the demands that come once that contract is signed.

So that gives me a double-squee! God thinks I’m ready–which means I’m gonna be getting healthier and stronger as time goes on, and He must be pleased with my work– otherwise even being healthy wouldn’t have won me a contract. Maybe I’m stretching it, I don’t know, but that’s what I prefer to believe.

Anyway, my second baby is about to turn into a toddler, and I can’t be more excited.

Squeee!

Kellen’s Hope is the title of my upcoming breakout novel. I’m praying I can get a few pros to read it and write a review I can use on the inside cover.

Best of luck, Danie. Getting endorsements from the big guys isn’t easy. I hope you belong to some organizations where the “big guys” can be approachable. American Christian Fiction Writers (ACFW) is a great organization and most of the biggest names in our industry belong. It’s a paid membership organization, but it’s worth every penny!
