At the towering height of 6’4″, he earned the nickname “Biggie J.” When Joshua Joseph Yezak stepped to your door, he blocked out the sun. But he could replace its brilliance with his smile, its warmth with his hug.
Josh was dependable and fiercely loyal, gentle and tender-hearted. He was loved by his friends, adored by his nieces and nephews, and treasured by his parents and siblings. He’ll be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor.
Billy and I took Jen and Josh on a saltwater fishing trip once, when Josh had just entered his teen years. Each of us came home with our claim to fame. If I remember correctly, Jennifer caught the biggest trout, I caught the biggest red snapper, Billy caught the most, and Josh…Well, Josh had fallen asleep on the metal engine cover and spent the entire trip behind closed eyes, proving once again that he could sleep anywhere!
Josh was eight when I married his father, twenty-nine when he died. I didn’t have enough time with him. Not nearly enough.
I am so sorry for your loss, Linda. I wish there was a magic wand I could wave to make the pain go away, but there isn’t. You and your family are in my prayers, perpetually.

Precious Linda, such a pain a mom (step-mom) and dad should never know. Time may ease the pain but it never diminishes the love. Continuing to pray for you.

so very sorry to read this after JUST finding you online–I’ve TRIED to help my BFF who lost her son to suicide at age 21–it happened in front of his mom–NO ONE ever totally gets over the loss of a child–I logged on to tell you something GOOD–I ‘already’ finished your book I purchased on Saturday–you are a great writer–may your writing be a therapy to help you through this loss at this time in your life.
