Of all the things I have to be thankful for this year, my friends are at the top of my list. How difficult the year would’ve been without them. They’ve rejoiced with me, worried about me, prayed for me, uplifted me, and kept me level-headed. They’ve offered advice and support, words of encouragement and sympathy. They’ve laughed at all the right places and, I’m sure, shed a tear or two. Some have traveled miles to visit with me, while others have written faithfully at least once a month, and still others call regularly. How vital their contact has been, this year especially.
So, before the football game blares from the living room, before I taste the turkey and dressing, I’ll bow my head and thank God for my friends, naming each one by one, and asking His blessings on them through the day and the rest of the year.
From me, to you, for all that you’ve done, thank you!
You likewise have been a blessing with your words of encouragement and how your joyful attitude permeates your writing. I am thankful for on-line friends as you that have made me laugh, cry, and run the range of my emotions. May your Thanksgiving be blessed with family and friends surrounding you.
